Sources Sought Notice: Medical Instrument Technician (MIT) Echosonographer Services The Government is issuing this Sources Sought Announcement to gather information regarding potential contractors for MIT Echosonographer services. Please note that this is solely a Sources Sought notice; there is no solicitation available at this time. Responses will aid the Government in making informed acquisition decisions and may lead to a future solicitation announcement. This announcement does not constitute a response to any solicitation and is not intended to create any form of obligation for the Government. The information provided will be used exclusively by the Department of Veterans Affairs for decision-making purposes and will remain confidential. The Government will not reimburse any costs related to the submission of information in response to this request. All procurement strategies based on the feedback received will be determined at the Government's discretion. NAICS Code: The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561320 Temporary Help Services with a size standard of $34.0 million. Interested parties should ensure that their registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) reflects this NAICS code. Service Acquisition Compliance: As this pertains to service acquisition, please be aware of the Small Business Administration and Federal Acquisition Regulation limitations on subcontracting. For small businesses, including Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), at least 50% of the costs incurred for personnel for contract performance must be allocated to employees of the contracting concern. Service Requirement: The Minneapolis VA Health Care System (MVAHCS) located at One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417-2309, seeks qualified contractors to provide Certified MIT Echosonographer services. The contractor must provide 2.0 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) personnel certified in Echocardiographic Imaging by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Although certification in vascular imaging is desirable, it is not required. The contractor will be responsible for onsite coverage for MVAHCS beneficiaries during personnel vacancies due to sick leave, personal leave, vacations, and any additional coverage needs.
