THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY.
The US Army Engineer District, Alaska is conducting market to identify businesses which have the capability to provide flat web sheet pile to be used in the Port on Nome Modification construction project. The material will need to be produced, transported, and stockpiled in Nome, Alaska by June 2027 for use in an upcoming Port of Nome Modification Phase 1A contract. As shown in the table below, various lengths of PS31, PS27.5, X-Wye, and Anchor Piles will need to be staged separately in Nome. The specific staging location in Nome will be determined at a later date.
The flat web sheet pile shall conform to requirements in ASTM A328/A328M. Sheet pile shall be PS31 or PS27.5, with 0.500 or 0.400-inch-thick web respectively, as shown on the drawings. Thicker web sheet piles may be substituted for thinner specified sheet piles. Sheet pile material shall meet ASTM A572/A572M Grade 50 chemical and physical properties. Sheet pile shall have minimum Charpy V-Notch impact values of 15/12 (average/minimum) ft. lbs at +32 degrees F in accordance with ASTM A673/A673M-17. The minimum interlock tensile strength between all flat sheet pile provided for the project shall be 20,000 pounds per linear inch ultimate strength. All flat sheet pile shall have a minimum interlock swing angle of 6 degrees from center (neutral position). All flat sheet pile shall be as identified on the drawings. Sheet pile, anchor piles, x-wye piles, and other connectors shall be reasonably free sliding under their own weight when interlocked. Anchor piles and x-wye pile shall be fabricated as shown on the plans.
The materials shall meet the Buy American Act requirements of FAR Part 25.
