This Sources Sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this Sources Sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. The information from this market research is for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. This is strictly market research. The Government will entertain question concerning this market research.
The intent of this notice is to determine the availability of business to supply Molded Case Circuit Breakers. There are 24 different types of Circuit Breakers. Each of the different types of circuit breakers have different quantities that will be purchased. The Government is looking to possibly set-aside the requirement for small businesses and be IAW FAR 52.225-1 Buy American Supplies.
These breakers are to be Eaton/Cutler Hammer or EQUAL, series C breakers rated at 277VAC, 125VDC for 1 Phase and 600VAC, 250VDC for 2 Phase or 3 Phase. The Kilo Ampere Interrupting Capacity (KAIC) shall be no less than 35 KAIC as this will satisfy Arc flash study results for TPP power panels.
Each of the breakers must be able to fit in the breaker slots in the Westinghouse-P-Panels that are installed in the Grand Coulee Dam Nathaniel Washington Power Plant. The sizes of the breakers are as follows:
Series C - FD Frame Breaker:
1-Pole (Single Pole Breaker) - 1.38"W x 6"H x 3.38"D
2-Pole (Double Pole Breaker) - 2.75"W x 6"H x 3.38"D
3-Pole (Three Pole Breaker) - 4.13"W x 6"H x 3.38"D
Series C - KD Frame Breaker:
3-Pole (Three Pole Breaker) - 5.50"W x 10.13"H x 4.10"D
Potential offers having technical capabilities necessary to meet the needs of the described requirement are invited to provide a capabilities statement via email. If your company is interested the specifications can be emailed to your company.
The capability statement must include the following:
1) Company name and point of contact information.
2) UEI Number
3) Business size whether large or small. If small please provide socioeconomic (to include 8(A), HUBZONE, SDVOSB, ETC.)
Responses are due no later than 17:00 PM, PT, Wednesday, July 22, 2024, and shall be electronically submitted to Terry Mest at tmest@usbr.gov. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. Response is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any cost associated with providing information in response to this sources sought or any follow-up information requests.
