This is a Sources Sought Notice in accordance with FAR Part 10, Market Research. This Sources Sought Notice (SSN) is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the United States Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC). There is no solicitation and or request for quote available at this time.
The purpose of this notice is to identify potential sources that may be interested in and capable of providing the products described herein. The MICC welcomes Capability Statements and/or catalogs from all individuals and organizations. MICC does not intend to award a contract on the basis of responses nor otherwise pay for the preparation of any information submitted or MICC’s use of such information. Acknowledgement of receipt of responses will not be made, nor will respondents be notified of MICC’s evaluation of the information received. As a result of this notice, MICC may issue a Request for Quote (RFQ). A response to this Sources Sought shall not be a basis for claims against the Government regardless if a request for quote is issued or not. The Government will use this information to determine the best procurement approach. The Government requests and encourage both large business and all categories of small business to respond to this request. If a request for quote is released, it will be posted at GSA Advantage. It is the responsibility of the potential offeror to monitor the site for additional information pertaining to this requirement.
Scope
The MICC is conducting market research to provide Commercial Kitchen Hood Cleaning, Preventative Maintenance & Repair Services which will cover approximately 45 facilities across the Fort Cavazos installation. The objective for performance under this contract is to provide commercial kitchen hood cleaning services and maintain the kitchen hoods in a clean and fully operational state in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and in compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 96 Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations. The Contractor shall perform to the standards and specifications in this contract. Kitchen Hood Services vary between exhaust kitchen hoods, water wash kitchen hoods, ultraviolet kitchen hoods, condensate kitchen hoods and kitchen hood repair. The anticipated NAICS code is 561790 - Other Services to Buildings and Dwellings.
Information and instructions
Any interested organizations should submit a Capability Statement and/or catalogs which demonstrates the firm’s ability and interest in no more than fifteen (15) pages to provide the key requirements described above. All proprietary information should be marked as such. All respondents are asked to include the following:
a. Indicate the type and size of their business organization, e.g., Large Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Women-Owned-Business, 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) etc., educational institution, profit/non-profit organization, in their response.
b. Company Information: Your Company’s name, address, Point of contract with email address and phone number, Commercial and Government Entity code (CAGE), Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) and business size. Your company must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM). To register, go to beta.SAM.gov.
c. A statement of Capabilities demonstrating the skills and/or catalog information may be provided on a separate capabilities statement.
d. Please identify any condition or action, if any that may be having the effect of unnecessarily restricting competition with respect to this acquisition. Please contact the MICC Advocate for Competition, Scott Kukes, at scott.d.kukes.civ@army.mil at 210-466-3015, if you believe that this action is unreasonably restricting competition. Include the subject of the acquisition, this announcement, and the MICC POC information from the notice. Provide the specific aspects that unreasonably restrict competition and the rationale for such conclusion.
