This is a sources sought announcement to be used for preliminary market research
purposes only. No quotations are being requested or accepted with this synopsis. THIS IS
NOT A SOLICITATION FOR QUOTATIONS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. The type of solicitation to be issued will depend upon the responses to this sources sought synopsis. No reimbursement will be made by the Government for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of various members of small businesses in order for the Contracting Officer to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy.
The National Park Service has a requirement for replacement of a jet Rodder pump and hose repair for Lake Mead National Recreation Area (LAKE). The contractor shall replace jet Rodder pump on Vactor 2100 combination sewer truck. See below anticipated general list of tasks to be accomplished.
A. Replace jet rodder pump part# 62180RP and associated components required for functional operation. If any associated parts are damaged or needing replaced to assure proper operation and function of the jet Rodder pump contractor shall email the contracting officer¿s representative (COR) and Contracting Officer (CO) with a quote for the additional items/work.
B. Flush and fill hydraulic system with manufacturer recommended fluid.
C. Test jet rodder pump after installation following the manufacturer testing guidelines. If guidelines do not exist, contractor shall run the truck through a water pump test assuring pressure at the low, medium, and high settings meet the PSI specification of the unit:
a. Water pump check to water reservoir tank
b. Pressure washer hose on side of truck has appropriate pressure
c. Pressure washer hose on front of truck has appropriate pressure
D. Vendor must demonstrate they are an authorized Vactor service center.
E. Check the hydraulic pressure of fluid going into Rodder jet pump according to manufacturer specifications.
F. Replenish and add the correct amount of hydraulic fluid according to sight glass on reservoir.
G. Have the ability to repair of water leak on front hose real.
The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this sources sought is 811310 ¿ Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance. The Small Business Size Standard for this NAICS code is $12.5 million in average annual receipts.
Vendors responding to this sources sought notice should include the following information:
1. Company name, address, UEI number, point of contact, telephone number and email address.
2. Information about qualifications or a capabilities statement.
3. Provide the company's business size (small or other than small) and all applicable socio-economic category information (Small, 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, EDWOSB, ISBEE).
4. Provide documentation of Vactor authorized service center designation.
5. Service center must demonstrate they are within 100 driving miles of Boulder City, NV.
