Synopsis: This is a Sources Sought Notice issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or an obligation on behalf of the Government. The purpose of this notice is to identify qualified and capable vendors that can provide a Smart Card Access Control System that meets federal security requirements.
The Government is seeking responses from businesses that have experience in providing, installing, and maintaining smart card access control systems for secure federal facilities. The information received will be used to help determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for this requirement.
Requirements: The Smart Card Access Control System should include, but is not limited to, the following features:
- Compliance with FIPS 201-3 and other federal security standards
- Compatibility with Personal Identity Verification (PIV) cards
- Real-time access logging and reporting capabilities
- Scalable system architecture to accommodate multiple entry points and users
- Remote system monitoring and management features
- Capability for software updates and maintenance support
Submission Instructions: Interested vendors shall submit a capability statement that includes the following:
- Company Information: Name, address, point of contact, phone number, email, and website.
- Business Size Classification: (e.g., Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, Woman-Owned, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, etc.)
- Relevant Experience: A brief description of past projects of similar scope and complexity, including contract numbers (if applicable).
- Technical Capability: A summary of the system’s features, compliance with federal security standards, and integration capabilities.
- Delivery and Installation Timeline: Estimated timeframe for system deployment.
- Market Research Input: Feedback on potential acquisition strategies, contract types, and any other relevant considerations.
