National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)'s Western Acquisition Division, is seeking sources regarding specialty hooks used for the Northeast Fisheries Science Center’s Cooperative Research Branch research efforts.
The contractor shall provide a high-performance semi-circle 12/0 hook in a lot of 100,000 (quantity).
Specifications must meet or exceed the following salient characteristsics and functional requirements:
- High performance
- E-Z baiter Semi-circle 12/0 hook
- Made of high carbon steel, special thin diameter wire (1.9 mm)
- Prime cut point
- Prime tin finish
- Ring eye
- Eye is straight for easier mounting on the longline

Submission Instructions: Interested parties should submit their capabilities to meet the requirements outlined above by February 24, 2025 at 8:00a.m. ET. Responses should include a detailed description clearly explaining how the proposed product meets or exceeds the supply being sought, estimated price per unit, and approximate delivery date to Woods Hole, MA for 100,000 units. All capability statements received by the due date of this notice will be considered by the Government. A request for documentation or additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response.
