This requirement is for refrigeration trailers to store and cool approximately 67,000 seedlings during the FY25 Pike
Spring Planting project. Seedlings will be delivered from the tree nursery in Nebraska. In order to maintain seedling
viability, prevent mold, cull, and mortality, seedlings must be refrigerated to maintain a temperature of approximately
35 degrees Fahrenheit. Due to the number of seedlings and sensitive need for the seedlings to remain cooled, three
trailers will be needed for this project. Two trailers will be utilized for storing seedlings, and one will be used as a backup
trailer, only used if one of the primary trailers fails.
The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment (three refrigeration trailers), supervision, workman’s compensation,
unemployment insurance, transportation, supplies (expect those designated as Government-furnished) and incidentals,
to perform all work necessary to store and cool seedlings in the area specified. The contract includes trailer delivery,
pickup, and necessary repairs. All aspects of the work program shall be performed in an organized, systematic manner to
assure services shall be performed over the entire unit.
