STATEMENT OF REQUIREMENT
BK Medical E14C4t 9018 Transducers
1. REQUIREMENT:
The Kansas City VA Medical Center (KCVA) Sterile Processing Services Line (SPS) is actively seeking to acquire new ultrasound transducers that work with current equipment in order to guarantee uninterrupted and efficient urology services for patients. These transducers will assist with decreasing incidents of missed bladder conditions such as bladder cancer. This procurement is for one time purchase of replacement BK Medical E14C4t 9018 Transducers.
2. BACKGROUND:
The KCVA System uses the BK transducer during the clinic urologic ultrasound procedures. Ultrasound urology is a medical procedure where a transducer is inserted inside the body to visually examine the inside of the body. It is commonly used for biopsy, diagnosis, and treatment surveillance of the human bladder. This procurement is for one time purchase of replacement BK Medical E14C4t 9018 Transducers for use in these procedures.
3. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE:
Period of performance is based upon award date and shall not exceed one (1) year.

5. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
A Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and/or Alternate Contracting Officer Representative (ACOR) shall be assigned to this procurement and written notification will be provided to the Contractor after award.
- Scheduling of work performance shall be arranged through the designated COR/ACOR assigned.
The Vender shall complete a one-time service to provide the replacement BK Medical E14C4t 9018 Transducers at a quantity of three to the KCVA SPS.
- These Transducers will be without damage with full functioning capabilities with the BKSpecto Ultrasound Machine.
- The transducers will be used during TRUS procedures and will be operated by the urology physician.
- The transducers will have current instructions for use (IFU) for reprocessing between patient use.
EMERGENCY CALL IN REQUIREMENT:
There is no emergency call in requirement for this one-time purchase.
REPORT REQUIREMENT:
There will be no report requirement associated with this one-time purchase.
CHECK-IN REQUIREMENTS:
There will be no check-in requirements for this one-time purchase.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Vender shall ensure all tools and equipment are operational and meet U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
The Vendor will provide the IFU to the KCVA SPS. KCVA SPS will be responsible for completing the standard of practice (SOP) in accordance with the IFU and for ensuring SPS staff and point of use (POU) staff training on equipment.
