Sources Sought Notice This is a sources sought announcement only. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Responses in this sources sought notice must be in writing. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential businesses interested and capable of providing the supplies described below. The Memphis VA Medical Center, 116 N Pauline St., Memphis, TN 38105, is looking to purchase mobile nursing carts and supporting accessories as listed below. This procurement shall be a brand name or equal that meet or exceed the physical, functional, and performance of listed statement of work outlined below. Contractors shall show clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that all equal to items meet all requirements as outlined in the included salient characteristics and warranty sections, including brand name and model numbers IAW FAR 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal. Rail doesn t require wall backing. Polyurethane Coating Abrasion and Chemical Resistance All Medical Cart sizes shall be sizes as described in this specification. All Medical Carts shall be locking. All Medical Carts with Roll Doors and drawers. All Medical Carts will have trays and dividers. WARRANTY: The contractor must provide manufacturer(s) warranty on devices. Extended warranty for the mobile carts will be provided for five (5) years upon receipt and acceptance of the equipment. The Lt. Col. Luke Weathers Jr. Veterans Affairs Health Care System designee must sign off on acceptance before the warranty cycle begins. The warranty must be provided in the quote to cover all components of the mobile carts, the mechanical, electrical, and electronic aspects. The computers shall have a five (5) year warranty beginning from date equipment was received and accepted. After notification of a defective unit that cannot be repaired, a replacement product will be sent to the facility within 24 hours via second day delivery with a shipping container and prepaid shipping documents for return of defective unit. The VA will keep the hard drive. Service reports shall be sent to all appropriate points of contact with quarterly aggregate reports. VA Engineering/ Biomedical and OI&T will have full access to the hardware and software that constitute the system, including any diagnostic software features and general administration rights. The VA Engineering/Biomedical and OI&T point of contact must be briefed, by the vendor, on all software upgrades and changes, and must agree to each prior to installation. The vendor shall provide and install manufacturer recommended software upgrades and changes at no additional charge during warranty/contract period.
