Specifications include, but are not limited to: A single source of supply for the services, supplies and/or equipment for a Wireless System & Services. The primary objective of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit qualified proposals from Offerors that can provide the BCSD with wireless access points, wireless controllers, wireless network management systems, and related services. The BCSD has approximately 2000 Cisco wireless access points in all schools and the district office. About two thirds are CISCO 1142s and one third are newer CISCO 3702. Controlling these are CISCO Flex 7510 (2 in HA) controllers. Our plan is to retire all the CISCO 1142s, move all the CISCO 3702s to elementary schools, and install the newest technology gained from this procurement into the middle and high schools and possibly some elementary schools.
