Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Grand Forks Police Department is in the process of purchasing at least twenty-six (26) tactical radio headsets for the SWAT team. 2.1.2.1 All components must be compatible with the Tait TP9100 Series Radio. 2.1.2.2 Must provide clear, intelligible two-way audio communications via radios and intercoms. 2.1.2.3 Must provide “environmental listening” (aka: talk-through) for auditory situational awareness and face to face verbal conversation. 2.1.2.4 Must meet the single hearing protection requirement listed in DA PAM 40-501 Army Hearing Conservation Program 2015 for both steady-state and impulse noise. 2.1.2.5 Have been tested in accordance with MIL-STD-810F, Department of Defense Test Method Standard for Environmental Engineering Considerations and Laboratory Tests. 2.1.2.6 Have been tested in accordance with MIL STD 461E, Department of Defense Interface Standard, Requirements for the Control of Electromagnetic Interference Characteristics of Subsystems and Equipment. 2.1.2.7 Must be powered by two (2) AAA batteries that provide approximately five hundred (500) hours of battery life. 2.1.2.7.1 Batteries to be included with bid. 2.1.2.8 External communications and “talk-through” must be battery independent for Rx/Tx fail safe. In the unlikely event of electronic failure of battery depletion, external communications will continue to function. 2.1.2.9 Ambidextrous noise-canceling boom mic can be mounted on either left or right side by operator. 2.1.2.10 Single COMM configuration. 2.1.2.11 Suspension Model: ARC Rail Attachment. 2.1.2.12 Ear Cup Color must be Black. 2.1.2.13 Include the following options in your bid. 2.1.2.13.1 Gel Ear Pads. 2.1.2.13.2 Signal Combat Push-to-Talk 2.1.2.13.3 AAA Horizontal Head Strap 2.1.2.13.4 Long Coiled Connector Cable for TAIT TP9100 Radio Model. 2.1.2.14 Must provide a noise reduction rating of 22 Decibel. 2.1.2.15 Contractor/Vendor must provide sizing for SWAT operators prior to purchase. 2.1.2.16 Shipping charges to be included in vendor’s bid.
