Specifications include, but are not limited to: The hauler will spread lime slurry on fields selected by the staff of Infrastructure Alternatives and the City of Antigo. It’s expected to haul approximately 250,000 to 400,000 gallons of slurry. It is the City’s expectation to spread lime on as many fields simultaneously to the satisfaction of the farmers. Hauling is expected Monday-Friday during normal business hours unless arranged with staff and hauler. Hauling is expected to occur before the start of school at the end of August. However, if hauling occurs during school hours, hauling will cease when school is out of session as to not disrupt child pick up times. The lime is located in a settling pond adjacent to the WTP. It is settled out and will need to be agitated to form a slurry and pumped into tanker trucks for hauling. Maps of approved fields will be provided to the hauler. It will be the responsibility of the hauler to follow and respect any setbacks required by WDNR codes. Fields range from xx miles to xxx miles from the lime pit.
