Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Request Proposals is to obtain competitive proposals from qualified individuals and firms to design, develop, and manage two vendor hosted/vendor supported comprehensive and user-friendly aquatic database management systems–Fish Hatcheries’ Trans6 and Aquatic Animal Health Laboratory’s AAHL. The two systems interoperate and share data, and are critical components of CPW’s fish management and the agency’s overall mission to provide sustainable resource management while also promoting Colorado’s recreational opportunities. The projects would include system development, provisioning, implementation, maintenance, and future enhancements. System implementation, and provisioning includes planning, design, development, testing, pilot projects, installation, training, support, and the continued operation of all systems’ activities. Aquatic Animal Health Laboratory (AAHL) Requirements 1. CPW’s Aquatic Animal Health Laboratory (AAHL) requires a database management system to support AAHL’s mission to “protect, monitor, and enhance the health of aquatic wildlife and aquatic systems in the State of Colorado in accordance with Colorado state statutes”. The database needs to be able to support the CPW AAHL staff to perform a wide range of in-house support and diagnostic services, including: a. Bacteriology b. Molecular testing c. Whirling disease testing d. Virology e. Parasitology f. Supportive services: i. Histopathology ii. Invasive species screening and identification iii. Water quality testing 2. The AAHL database must be capable of storing a vast amount of data such as, case history number, location information, case type, collector, water code, and lot information (which includes: species, lot numbers, number of fish, samples taken for each lot, lab destination, results for each pathogen tested, and expiration dates).
