Specifications include, but are not limited to: A heave in the grout of the concrete floor of Secondary Clarifier 19 was identified measuring approximately 50% of the floor area, concentrated on the inner radius of the clarifier, but also extending to the outer radius, in areas, for a width of approximately10 feet. The clarifier weir has an octagonal shape with a circular floor diameter of 112 feet. The concrete floor of the clarifier is 20 inches thick near the outer wall and 8 inches thick near the center. The concrete floor is covered in approximately 2 inches of grout, which has been compromised in areas and requires a complete replacement. The worst areas of the grout heave were previously chipped out and removed by Veolia Water Milwaukee (VWM). Under this contract, the Contractor shall remove the remainder of the grout surface, allow for the Engineer's inspection of the existing concrete flooring, including repairing any cracks, replace all grout and seal the clarifier floor.
