Plow Blade Specification: 10.1 The shield carbide plow blade shall be ¾”x6”x3’x1-1/2 ga with 5/8” punched round holes (not counter sunk). Shielding should be made with a hardened material like Hard Ox 100 or equal. 10.2 The 3’ underbody blade shall be a shielded carbide inserted underbody blade 7/8"x5"x3'x1-1/2 ga with 5/8" punched counter sunk square holes, backside beveled. Shielding should be made with a hardened material like Hard Ox 100 or equal. 10.3 The 4’ underbody blade shall be a shielded carbide insert underbody blade 7/8"x5x4'x1-1/2 ga with 5/8" punched counter sunk square holes, backside beveled. Shielding should be made with a hardened material like Hard Ox 100 or equal. 10.4 Tungsten carbide inserts must be grade YG11C-N 100% virgin tungsten carbide. 10.5 Blade shall be SAE 1020 flat hot rolled steel. 10.6 Carbide insert-bolt holes 1.5" from top. 10.7 Tolerance for hole spacing be (+/-) 1/16", non-accumulative, from center to center, across full length of blade. 10.8 The groove for the carbide inserts shall be milled in the center of blade edge. 10.9 The tungsten carbide insert shall be trapezoidal in design, with the following dimensions: Length: 1"nominal; Width: .365" (+/-) .005"; Height: .635" (+/-) .005"; Top Angle: 25 degree (+/-) 1 degree with nose radius of 1/16" minimum. 10.10 Tungsten carbide insert shall be of a grade containing 11-13% cobalt. Tungsten carbide shall be made of virgin material.
