Specifications include, but are not limited to: The County intends to use the results of this process to award a contract or issue of purchase order for the product(s) and or services(s) stated: Fundraising Consultant Services. Dane County’s Henry Vilas Zoo wishes to retain a Fundraising Consultant firm to manage the capital campaign with raising a minimum of $4 M to aid in the costs associated with the construction of The Edge of Africa – Giraffe as Phase 1 of a multi-year “Heart of the Zoo” campaign. The giraffe portions of the estimated project cost is $20M. Ideally, the resulting services from this RFP will position the zoo to continue additional fundraising efforts and campaigns. At minimum, provide the following: A. Conduct confidential interviews with top donor prospects B. Develop a campaign plan and calendar C. Support development of a case statement clearly articulating the zoo’s mission/purpose/goals D. Conduct an audit of public relations and outreach activities E. Review and streamline Zoo's Donor Database F. Identify donor cultivation prospects utilizing the Donor Database. G. Create brand awareness among key stakeholders and develop an on-going communications template H. Work with zoo staff, the Zoo Commission, Public Works and Transportation Committee, Dane County and all other pertinent stakeholders in the development of a campaign plan I. Educate and train boards, staff and volunteers prior to implementation of campaign
