Specifications include, but are not limited to: Barron County currently operates several different technologies for different channels. Barron County is utilizing VHF for all sites. The Law 1 channel is a P25 conventional VHF repeater system that consists of four transmit/receive and four receive only sites operating under the FCC licenses WIK92 and WQJP205. The Law 1 System is a four frequency multicast system with eight voted receive sites. • The first transmit/receive site is located on a tower in Clinton Township on 17th Ave. • The second transmit/receive site is located in Rice Lake Township on a tower east of 18th St. • The third transmit/receive site is a water tower in the City of Chetek south of Ridgeway Dr. • The fourth transmit/receive site is located on a water tower in the Turtle Lake off Maple St N. • The first receive only site is located on a tower in Polk County in Johnstown Township • The second receive only site is located on a tower in Prairie Farm Township • The third receive only site is located in the City of Barron at the Barron County Justice Center. • The fourth receive only site is located on a tower in Dallas Township south of 4 ½ Ave. This site has a transmitter operating at the same frequency as the transmitter at the Clinton Township site that can be turned on by pressing a button on the dispatch consoles. Doing such turns off the transmitter at the Clinton Site. The Law 2 Channel is a P25 conventional VHF repeater system that consists of 7 repeaters that are voted receive and transmit steered. The first site is located on a tower in Clinton Township on 17th Ave. The second site is located in Rice Lake Township on a tower east of 18th St. The third site is a water tower in the City of Chetek south of Ridgeway Dr. The fourth site is located on a water tower in the Village of Turtle Lake off of Maple St N. The fifth site is located on a tower in Polk County in Johnstown Township on 240th Ave west of the county line. The sixth site is located on a Tower in Prairie Farm Township on 9th St north of 2 ½ Ave. The seventh site is located on a tower in Dallas Township south of 4 ½ Ave. The Fire channels are analog narrowband VHF repeaters consisting of eight transmit and receive standalone sites operating under the FCC licenses KNJF456 and WQJP201. The First site is located on a tower in Clinton Township on 17th Ave. The second site is located in Rice Lake Township on a tower east of 18th St. The third site is a water tower in the City of Chetek south of Ridgeway Dr. The fourth site is located on a water tower in the Village of Turtle Lake off of Maple St N. The fifth site is located on a tower at Cumberland Hospital in the City of Cumberland. The sixth site is located on a tower in Prairie Farm Township on 9th St north of 2 ½ Ave. The seventh site is located in the City of Barron on a tower at the Barron County Government Center. The eighth site is located on a tower in Dallas Township south of 4 ½ Ave. The current infrastructure located at Johnstown Tower and Cumberland Hospital tower will need to be relocated to an existing tower, located at 2307 4-1/2 Street, Cumberland. This tower will need a new antenna system, including combiner. These costs should be included within the project bid. The County desires to improve the entire system performance by simulcasting all of the Law and Fire channels. The County desires to have 2 additional repeater systems with a new frequencies on the simulcast network. The County's plan is to re-use all current coax, and antennas at all sites and purchase additional filtering as needed to use with current combiner systems. The County maintains either a fiber or microwave network between all sites except at Cumberland Hospital. The County desires that Law and Fire systems have the capability to display Standard P25 and MDC1200 Id’s on four dispatch consoles located at the Barron County Justice Center, 1420 State Highway 25 N, Barron, WI). Old equipment shall be retained and stored by the County for potential use for future noncritical standalone repeater sites for Emergency Management, MARC 1, and potential tactical standalone repeater sites. The repurposing of old equipment other than antenna systems are not included in the scope of work for this RFP. Any proposal must maintain the functionality of all current communication infrastructure until the system "go live" date.
