Specifications include, but are not limited to: Current student enrollment is exceeding the capacity of the Surbeck Center. The following bullet items are the major components being considered in the expansion. • Additional dining space to accommodate 200 retail dining seating and 400 traditional dining seating • Additional freezer/cooler space, prep area and additional storage space for dining • Additional meeting spaces that would allow us to accommodate larger campus events including more companies for the Career Fair, more families coming to Go to Mines, cultural events, and orientations on campus. • Space for the Admissions office to be the front door of campus. • Area created to accommodate larger campus events might contain movable walls to accommodate smaller group needs when not needed for large gatherings
