Specifications include, but are not limited to: Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetary is seeking a design firm will be chosen to complete construction documents for a new Columbarium Niches Project CW-4 Phase II to provide columbarium niche walls and supporting infrastructure that meet Veterans Affairs Cemetery Grant (VACG) design and construction standards on a schedule that ensures the Cemetery can continue to offer niche inurnment services to Veterans and Veterans’ families. Six (6) columbarium niche walls are included in the Phase II of work. Each wall will be a double-sided, 35 unit long by 5-unit high monolith, totaling 350 units per wall, or 2,100 for the entire CW-4 Phase II. The design of the project provides a contiguous accessible route throughout the site. Cast-in-place concrete walkaway materials, finishes, widths and longitudinal and multi-directional slopes will conform to the applicable ABAAS/VA accessibility standards. The CW-4 Phase II site is located adjacent to the outer cemetery loop road along the eastern edge of the cemetery proper. CW-4 Phase II will complete the first row of the planned Columbarium Plaza that is planned for four rows of walls eventually totaling 40 walls.
