Specifications include, but are not limited to: In general terms, the Project includes, but is not limited to, the following construction activities: • Removing and disposing existing steel end diaphragms and bearing stiffeners at repair locations; • Partially removing and disposing the existing concrete deck haunch as required to complete the structural steel repairs; • Furnishing, fabricating, and erecting new structural steel elements; • Repairing demolished concrete areas to the original geometry of the concrete; • Completing surface preparation, priming, and painting of existing and proposed steel at the repair locations; • Installing and removing temporary staging/scaffolding and temporary protective shielding necessary to complete the work; • Restoring all impacted areas to original conditions; and • Setup and removal of temporary traffic controls.
