Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Stone is being purchased for pipe bedding purposes, stone quantity will be based on quantity of pipe ordered (also out for quote). Planned length of pipe purchased will be up to 15,000 feet for bedding purposes. 0.22 cubic yards (CY) of stone is needed for every foot of pipe installed. • Estimated density of stone provided by quarry was 2,933 lb/CY, for quote purposes 3,000 lb/CY is being used to be slightly higher on actual quantity of stone delivered. Total cubic yards needed for up to 15,000 feet of pipe is 3,300 CY. Total tons of stone for 3,300 CY at 3,000 lb/CY is up to 4,950 tons. • Volume of stone hauled will be based tonnage from scale tickets from the quarry to be provided to the County by the hauler and assumed density of 3,000 lb/CY.
