Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor will construct approximately 2,500 feet of 84-inch diameter combined sewer by trenchless methods - Approximately 500 feet of double 10-foot x 6-foot reinforced concrete box overflow Sewer - 2 MMSD concrete sewer structures with a footprint of over 2,000 square feet each - 5 MMSD concrete sewer manholes at work shafts. In addition, the work includes the following: relocation of City of Milwaukee water, storm, and sanitary mains; coordination with public utility relocations required by construction; surface restoration including turf, asphalt, and concrete pavements; raceway and associated appurtenances for Owner sensors; and associated work such as traffic control, control of water, erosion control, impacted excavated material management, and site security. Contractor design of ground support systems; water control systems; tunneling system, including potential liner, carrier pipe, contact grouting, and backfill grouting; and precast concrete sewer structure roof planks is required. Work will occur along N 31st Street and W Hopkins Street roughly between W Capitol Drive and N 27th Street.
