Specifications include, but are not limited to: Rhode Island Contract No. 2023-CH-017, Federal-Aid Project Nos. BRO -0896(001) & NHPG-RESF(452), PTS ID No. 0016H includes the replacement of Bridge 896 superstructure carrying Tower Hill Road over Route 138, as well as the resurfacing 6.5 miles on Tower Hill Road in North Kingstown and South Kingstown in Washington County, Rhode Island. The proposed superstructure will be constructed offline while the interchange ramps and Route 138 are being reconstructed. Over two separate weekends, each side of the bridge will be moved into place by Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMTs). Upon completion of the slide, temporary barriers will be placed along the bridge corners, waterproofing membrane and bituminous pavement will be installed, and the structure open for traffic.
