Specifications include, but are not limited to: Volunteers of America Northern California & Northern Nevada (VOA) is hereby soliciting proposals from interested Project Management (PM) professionals or firms to complete the renovation of the Highway 40 Motel that will be used to provide housing for people who are earning up to 60% Area Median Income (AMI). The selected PM must have, and show, the experience and knowledge of project management through all stages of design. Relevant experience with renovating motels is preferred. The PM will enter into a contract with VOA and will work directly with VOA, the General Contractor (GC), subcontractors, and funders, on all aspects of the project. The Highway 40 Motel project will provide critically needed affordable housing in Reno. The Highway 40 motel was built in the 1940s and requires several capital improvements including the addition of a fire sprinkler system. Renovation will be funded with federal dollars through a grant from the state of Nevada. Federal, state, and local procurement guidelines, reporting, and other forms of compliance are required for the project. The PM will be responsible for project coordination, oversight of the GC and construction team, budgeting, communication and compliance, reporting to VOA, funding agencies, local jurisdictions, state agencies and media as needed.
