Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall furnish all transportation, labor, materials, services, training, insurance, and equipment as needed to complete the removal and replacement of carpet and vinyl tile and installation of commercial grade carpet, and vinyl flooring intended for long term medium to heavy indoor usage. New carpet to be modular, lead, Shaw Gold sustainable Carpet Standard certification or equal. Vinyl flooring material to be Mannington, Armstrong or equal. Proof of certification in submittals and upon delivery of material. Contractor shall: A. Repair concrete floor if needed. Ensure all cracks and gaps are filled, sanded, and leveled for application of carpet or vinyl tile. B. All work to be done in accordance with the manufacturers recommended procedures. C. A moisture test is required prior to installing any product to floor. Ensure the floor does not exceed any moisture standards set by adhesive/product manufacturer. In the event the floor does not meet those standards, floor must be completely sealed to avoid any future moisture problems. D. Remove all current carpet and vinyl tiles. Ensure that all carpet/vinyl materials are removed and disposed. E. Prepare worksite to prevent any damages to exiting walls, ceiling, floor, other equipment, etc. Contractor, at no expense to the CHP, shall repair all damages caused by the contractor, contractor’s subs and/or vendors.
