Specifications include, but are not limited to: The primary focus of this grant is funding programs which support the academic improvement of systems involved youth in the Alternative Education setting. The applicant should provide enough information and supporting documentation to demonstrate to evaluators that the applicant has a thorough understanding of the needs of students enrolled in an alternative setting as well a goaloriented plan for improving outcomes for these students during the school day. This section must include: 1. Description of the planned methodology or structure for the academic improvement plan, including how many students may be served and the nature of the program delivery (e.g., in person classroom structure, staffing, push in targeted tutoring and support, online credit recovery support.) 2. If specific programming is to be used (such as ACCESS or other program tools) document the platform and how it will be specifically utilized including the amount of time the program will be followed during the student learning day. 3. A communications and transition plan which describes how information from the student’s previous placement will be collected and utilized as part of the intake process. This plan should also articulate how the applicant will integrate and collaborate with the student’s home school or anticipated next placement to plan for a successful end of program transition. 4. This section should include a list of deliverables and a timeline for when each deliverable will be in place and providing services to enrolled students. This includes implementation targets for the platform or instructional method outlines in sections 1 and 2 as well as timelines for staffing supports required to implement same
