Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State intends to make a noncompetitive purchase for a statewide Reading Tool, Amira Learning. The legislative intent is to provide access to the tool to all students in grades 1 through 3 and certain students in grades 4 through 12 in the State of North Dakota. Amira will contract directly with each district for students in grades 1-3. NDDPI will reimburses the district for those licenses. If a district opts to add eligible students in grades 5/6 elementary or special ed and EL students up to 12th grade, NDDPI will pay Amira directly for those additional licenses. The reading tool is not a requirement, and because it is unknown how many districts will opt into the 1-3 usage, Amira will not charge districts or NDDPI for more than 40,000 licenses per year.
