Specifications include, but are not limited to: Optional Quote items #1 Hanging baskets • Provide storage for 97 large ornamental hanging flower baskets from September to approximately May 15, 2024. • Remove and replace liners prior to planting new plants in baskets. • Supply and install all soil and plants in baskets to provide lasting color and variety throughout the summer season. Optional Quote items #2 Planters • Supply and install all soil and plants to fill large sculptural planters (blue heads). • Supply and install all soil and plants to fill large planters at the GF City Hall. • Supply and install all soil and plants to fill raised planters (benches). Planting design should provide color and visual interest and be simple, easy to maintain. Optional Quote items #3 Tree rings, both raised and flat • Supply and install brown colored mulch to fill all tree rings in downtown area (approximately 46 rings). Optional Quote items #4 Watering and weeding June – October 31 • Provide the supplies and labor necessary to provide regular watering, weeding, deadheading, and pruning of the flowers and other plants located in the downtown area described in the Scope of Work. This includes Town Square, all bench planters, hanging baskets, blue head sculptural planters, and planters located at city hall, but excludes the right-of-way at 322 DeMers Avenue. • The contractor shall notify the Owner of any concerns regarding the health of plants, including watering, viability, and vandalism. • Cleanout the flower beds and planters in preparation for winter. • Any herbicide application (spraying) shall not result in damage to the turf, flowers, shrubs, trees, or surrounding area. If such damage is discovered, the Contractor must immediately modify the application operation, notify the Owner, and arrange for repairs, at their own expense, as approved by the Owner. • Materials such as mulch or plant replacement would be per the consultation of the Contractor and at the cost of the Owner as agreed upon in writing between the Owner and Contractor.
