Specifications include, but are not limited to: This program will provide resettlement and employment support services for those seeking Asylum with the long-term goal of ensuring a welcoming environment where Asylum Seekers become self-sufficient, employed, and maintain long term residency in Vermont. Funding will be made available to one (1) grantee for a small grant program to an existing Asylum Seeker Assistance Network made up of organizations who currently help asylum seekers gain economic independence by helping them find housing, vocational training, employment, referrals for legal support and other services that lead to long term residence and employment in Vermont. The successful applicant will have knowledge of and relationships with the member organizations of the Asylum Seeker Assistance Network (the applicant may be a member of the Network). While several organizations in Vermont include asylum seekers in their service provision and provide emergency assistance, the focus on this grant is to provide support to those organizations or programs whose primary focus is the resettlement of asylum seekers and related employment supports
