Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project is a renovation and an expansion of the existing Midtown Water Park and consists of replacing the existing restroom/concession stand structure (excluding equipment room for the existing pool) with a new 2,136 heated SF building. The building is 1 story with slab on grade, constructed of concrete masonry units and steel. Exterior materials include metal standing seam roof, painted CMU, glazed CMU, and perforated metal screens. In addition to the heated SF, there is 1,791 SF of covered open-air space. The project will also involve expanding the existing pool deck, adding a splash pad on the expanded pool deck, site lighting, walkways, parking lots, stormwater management facilities, and landscaping. The project will include building and site demolition, clearing and grubbing, erosion and sediment control (installation, maintenance, and removal of erosion and sediment control BMP’s), grading, storm drainage, utilities (water, power, and site lighting), concrete walkways, paved and curbed parking lots and driveways, and building construction. Landscaping will include sod, shrubs, and trees throughout the park. The contractor is expected to manage and stage construction to allow the existing pool to remain open during construction (when open during summer season) with minimal disruptions to it when it is open.
