Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Madison Parks Division seeks proposals from qualified planning Consultants to update the2018 – 2023 Parks and Open Space Plan (POSP) for the years 2025 to 2029. The POSP assists CityBoards, Commissioners, City agencies, and other governmental agencies, interested residents, andvolunteers in decision-making related to park development and operations policies. The plan includes anassessment of existing park amenities, service standards, areas of service deficiencies, andrecommended approaches for future park development utilizing a system-wide perspective.The POSP planning and public engagement process will begin in the fall of 2023, with the intention for theplan to be adopted by the City of Madison Common Council by first quarter of 2025. While the updatedplan will carry forward certain elements from the previous plan, the planning Consultant will be expectedto develop a restructured plan to help streamline future plan update processes.
