Specifications include, but are not limited to: The selected contractor will be responsible for accepting referrals and coordination from the Community Pilot transition teams comprised of VDOC and HireAbility staff. The contractor will work with HireAbility and other community vocational support members to organize continued training and /or workplace supports for individuals transitioning into the community (with priorization in the Caledonia and Chittenden County pilot sites). These additional supports may include supporting additional screening and assessment processes, linkages with community logistical supports such as childcare and transportation, facilitating low barrier interviewing and/or hiring, facilitiating workplace coaching and/or instruction and/or provision of one of more of these types of activities. Activities need to be documented and are preferred to be able to be extracted from the Vt Department of Labor platform. In addition, the selected contractor may support the expansion of the culinary pilot by connecting the DOC Workforce Development Coordinator and Food Services Specialist with potential culinary instructor for brief adjunctive instruction on special skills.
