Specifications include, but are not limited to: Disability Determination Services is in need of a medical transcription service to allow consultative exam providers to use the dictation service to write their medical exam reports. The medical transcription service agency will work directly with the Disability Determination Service’s consultative exam providers to write medical reports using their telephone dictation service. The service needs to provide a toll-free telephone number available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to persons authorized to give dictation calling at the request of the Disability Determination Services. Dictated medical reports shall be transcribed and downloaded within 48 hours of dictation. The physician dictating will be provided with access to the transcription services website to obtain reports. The Disability Determination Services will be provided with access to reports dictated. The contracted service provider must follow the guidelines of the Social Security Administration on disclosure and HIPAA; confidentiality and security of the reports; limited subcontracting; safeguarding Personal Identifiable Information; and suitability and systems monitoring safeguards.
