Aluminum sheet, fabricated reverse channel b. Aluminum sheet, flat 2. Thickness: 1/8 inch minimum (3 mm). 3. Letter Height: As indicated on drawings. 4. Text and Typeface: a. Character Font: 1) Helvetica, Arial, or other sans serif font b. Character Case: 1) Match character case indicated on the drawings. 5. Finish: a. Anodized. 6. Mounting: Concealed screws. Flush Mounted. C. Back Lit Exterior Dimensional Illuminated Characters: 1. Fabricate letters and numbers to be the required sizes and styles, using metals and thickness indicated below. Form exposed faces and sides of characters to produce surfaces free from warp and distortion. Include internal bracing for stability and attachment of mounting accessories as required. Fabricate by the heliarc welding process. 2. Aluminum Sheet: Not less than 0.090 inch (2.286 mm) thick. 3. Illumination: Provide Halo LED illuminated channel character systems for exterior applications as indicated on the drawings. Include LED’s, transformers, and other components necessary for complete systems. Make provisions for servicing and concealing connections to building electrical system. Coordinate electrical characters with those of power supply provided. Loading shall be verified by following the testing procedures recommended by the LED-systems manufacturer. 4. Color: “White” using Blue lights with a phosphor coating. 5. Population: Maximum 3-inch (76.2 mm) spacing between LED strips or segments. 6. Provide clear poly carbonate back for protection from birds and other animals from nesting. 7. Provide min 1.5 inch (38.1 mm) standoff on characters for backlit halo. Actual depth of standoff to be verified with Architect and manufacturer to ensure an even “halo” glow around letters.
