Specifications include, but are not limited to: The IV&V vendor will work with the Steering Committee, Core Project Team, project stakeholders, and Vendor Teams on an ongoing basis to provide Quarterly IV&V service subject matter consultation. DCYF currently has a robust child welfare information system, RICHIST, that has been in operation for twenty-five (25) years. While RICHIST has met many of the needs for DCYF over the past twenty-five (25) years, the technology it is built on has become antiquated. A new CCWIS solution will allow DCYF to better support their workforce, creating job efficiencies and more informed decision-making. The key needs considerations discovered during this phase of the project included: Enhanced Document Management – Replacing manual paper processes with an enhanced document management approach will allow users to gain efficiencies in how information is collected and received. It also develops increased trust in the information stored within a system solution. Mobile Functionality – A truly robust mobile solution that is accessible on any device such as a smartphone, tablet, or laptop will allow frontline staff to have the detailed information that is necessary to connect with the children and families they serve. It will also help staff save time by capturing information in real-time and not having to duplicate documentation efforts. Data Enhancements – Increasing user access to data is important, but it is also imperative that the user is accessing quality data. Having quality data reduces oversights, minimizes risks, and improves decision-making
