Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Madison anticipates replacing between 10-15 playgrounds each year for the next three years and is seeking proposals from vendors for playground designs. The intent of this proposal is to select equipment that will be presented to neighborhoods as options for their playground. Once the design is selected by the neighborhood, the City shall work with the selected equipment vendor to adjust the design as necessary for the specific site requirements and neighborhood requests. This final playground design shall fall within the budget established by the City. The vendor shall submit a minimum of six (6) playground designs, with each design illustrated in (2) distinct color schemes: Playground Design • 3 playground designs for age group 2-5 that include one play structure and one double bay swing with two tot and two belt swings within $40,000 (including delivery) • 3 playground designs for age group 5-12 that include one play structure and one double bay swing with two tot and two belt swings within $40,000 (including delivery) Additional Individual Components • The vendor shall also submit 10 play components as identified in this RFP. All playground designs must be from one manufacturer and one product line. Additional product lines may be submitted and must include 3 designs for age group 2-5 and 3 designs for age group 5-12. The submitted playground designs shall represent both a potential playground design layout, and the character of the product line represented by that design. The City will select playground product lines to present to neighborhoods based on the evaluation criteria listed in this Request for Proposals. The final selection of the equipment shall be the responsibility of each neighborhood, and there is no guarantee or commitment of any kind regarding usage of any contracts resulting from this solicitation. There shall be no attempt of any kind from the vendor to persuade the neighborhood to select their representative equipment. Each design will be illustrated and submitted in (2) color schemes. Both color schemes to include dark brown platforms and beige molded plastic features, such as slides and roofs. One color scheme shall feature dark brown posts and dark green railings. The second color scheme shall be Vendor's choice, excluding neon and pastel colors, for poles and railings. A white background is preferred for illustrations.
