Specifications include, but are not limited to: KENTUCKY BLUEGRASS BLEND (Poa pratensis) - the sod must include a blend of at least three kentucky bluegrass (KB) cultivars and contain no less than 90% KB seed by weight. KB cultivars must be good performing varieties for Northeastern USA as determined by research or NTEP evaluation, produce an aesthetic appearance, and perform suitable for high traffic athletic field use. KENTUCKY BLUEGRASS (SHORT CUT) BLEND (Poa pratensis) - the sod blend must include at least three kentucky bluegrass (KB) cultivars and contain no less than 90% KB seed by weight. KB cultivars must be good performing varieties for Northeastern USA as determined by research or NTEP evaluation, produce an aesthetic appearance, and perform suitable for high traffic athletic field use. These cultivars must produce a sod which tolerates regular mowing as low as 0.75 inches. TURF TYPE TALL FESCUE BLEND (Festuca arundanacea) - the sod blend must include 1-2 Tall Fescue (TF) cultivars and contain no less than 80% TF seed by weight. TF cultivars must be good performing varieties for Northeastern USA as determined by research or NTEP evaluation, produce an aesthetic appearance, and perform suitable for lawn areas.
