Specifications include, but are not limited to: working closely with DCF to support the engagement, leadership development and retention of DSP’s four Lived Experience Stakeholder (Stakeholder) group through outreach and engagement, support services and networking opportunities, collaboration and engagement. The four Stakeholders groups are: Child Welfare Parent Leaders State Youth Advisory Council Relative Caregiver Stakeholders Youth Leaders in Transition (YLT) The goal of the Stakeholder groups is to guide system improvements to better serve children and families receiving child welfare, including child protective services and youth justice services, delivered by county human service agencies and the Division of Milwaukee Child Protective Services across the state. DSP’s investment in lived experience helps to support the engagement, collaboration, and input of those who have been actively involved in the Wisconsin child welfare system. Members of these groups, referred to in this RFP as Lived Experience (LE) Experts currently meet on a regular basis to provide feedback and guidance to DSP on new initiatives, polices and program and system change efforts. Additionally, LE Experts contribute authentic perspective and deep understanding of the child welfare system and how it is experienced by those served by the system and where there are needs, gaps and opportunities to improve the system.
