Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Complete engineering and/or safety studies, analyses, and/or reports to inform or guide decisions/actions related to improved traffic signal operations and safety (may include the collection of and/or arrangement for various types of data, including but not limited to traffic counts, traffic speeds, traffic delays, traffic queues, traffic crash data, and travel times) b. Develop/recommend new or modified traffic signal timings (may include preparation of a RIDOT Traffic Signal Plan(s) and/or other record to document such) c. Implement new or revised traffic signal timings, detector settings, and/or other adjustments to affiliated equipment at traffic signal locations, both at isolated intersections as well as along a corridor as part of a coordinated signal system, and provide record of such to RIDOT. d. Inspect and troubleshoot traffic signal system operational components, settings, and equipment (may include both in-cabinet and external-to-cabinet system components and equipment, including but not limited to detection and communication systems), and provide record of such to RIDOT. e. Inspect, troubleshoot, adjust, and/or provide management support services for RIDOT remote traffic signal monitoring and/or control systems (including but not limited to closed loop and centrally or remotely managed systems, whether maintained in-house at RIDOT or hosted remotely by external party), and provide record of such to RIDOT. f. Review plans, specifications, estimates, and/or other project- and/or program-related documents that propose to impact RIDOT traffic signal system operations and/or communications and provide technical review comments/recommendations regarding such impacts to the RIDOT. g. Provide recommendations, complete a study, and/or develop plans, specifications, and estimates for improved traffic signal system operations and/or communications, including traditional traffic signal coordination and/or interconnection as well as more innovative technologies and strategies such as, but not limited to, adaptive signal control, transit signal priority, and connected vehicle (CV) systems, or projects involving automated traffic signal performance measures (ATSPMs) and /or signal phase and timing (SPaT) data. h. Perform other miscellaneous and administrative tasks/services associated with the above (e.g., arrange for and attend meetings and prepare notes or minutes to document key discussions and decisions).
