Specifications include, but are not limited to: The OPG requests proposals for the independent evaluation of individuals’ need for guardianship, individuals’ eligibility for services, and resolution of controversies regarding the above. The Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living is required by law to arrange for the evaluation of adults with developmental disabilities and adults with cognitive impairments to determine their need for guardianship. At times, the Department also requires an independent psychological evaluation for determination of eligibility for services. The selected bidder may be asked to prepare training materials and/or provide training and may need to be available for questioning or testimony in related court proceedings.
