Specifications include, but are not limited to: Materials provided from the Contractors pit/quarry source: • Preference for the County to periodically remove the materials throughout the 2023-2024 winter season. County would haul in amounts of +/- 1500T/day or more. • Approximate gradation for sanding materials based upon percentage passing is as follows: 1” – 100% ¾” – 100% ½” – 100% 3/8” – 98 to 100% #4 – 50 to 75% #8 – 10 to 35% #50 – 5 to 20% #100 – 0 to 15% #200 – 0 to 10% Bidder to provide a gradation for the materials they are quoting if different than the above information. • County shall only pay the bid prices for materials picked up and hauled or delivered when ordered, not for any materials left in a stockpile at season’s end. The County typically utilizes 6,500 ton of sanding materials in an average winter season. The quantity estimate of 6,500 ton is for the purposes of determining the amount of material the County may need available for purchase, and is not a bid guarantee. • Please provide the pricing listed below: Unit Price per ton. = $/ton. Price to load to include loader and employee = $/ton. Price for County’s use of loader = $/ton. Price for delivery of materials to the Highway Shop in Dodgeville in quantities not less than 2,000 tons per day the day order is delivered = $/ton. • Contractor shall provide the location or quarry where the materials are to be hauled from, and the amount of materials available. • Contractor to specify the date of availability for hauling of the materials by the County.
