Specifications include, but are not limited to: The existing wood moldings around all windows and at the building corners are to be wrapped in in Alcoa White aluminum flashing to encapsulate the painted surfaces. The work shall include, be may not be limited to the following criteria 1. Remove and replace, all exterior security cameras, lights, cable & data wires, signage, downspouts and/or any other fixtures/devices located within the work areas. The replacement of all devices referenced shall be properly mounted onto the finish trim work and sealed for a water tight installation. 2. The corner installations shall be covered with a minimum 3/8” thick Azek cut to cover the entire width of the corner molding. The Azek shall be installed with a maximum of one (1) seam on the 18 foot +/- length and this seam shall be glued with an approved manufacturers adhesive. The Azek shall be cut from a 4 x 10 sheet (minimum) to ensure a maximum of one (1) seam on the final installation. Prior to the Azek installation; Alcoa white aluminum flashing is to be bent 90 degrees and returned to the building sheathing beside the J channel of the existing vinyl siding and extended a minimum three (3) inches onto the existing molding for the entire length of the molding. All flashing shall be caulked to protect the molding from the elements. 3. On the standard windows, (except for those with cornice molding), all the existing exterior moldings shall be covered with a minimum of 3/8” thick Azek. Prior to the Azek installation; Alcoa white aluminum flashing is to be bent 90 degrees and installed on the window edge next to the existing storm windows and extended a minimum two (2) inches onto the existing molding; the new Azek trim shall be caulked and placed over the flashing. The existing bottom molding shall be properly flashed and may require removal of some storm window components prior to the flashing and Azek installation. The flashing method utilized shall be approved by the town. There are a total of twelve (12) standard windows. 4. The three (3) additional windows with cornice molding are to have existing cornice molding removed along with the top trim board, the existing lead flashing is to remain in place. The bottom sill plate is to be wrapped with white Alcoa flashing. All other exposed molding shall be covered with a minimum of 3/8’s Azek including the large plywood areas above the window. The cornice molding and top trim board are to be replaced in kind with new Azek trim utilizing the existing lead flashing. The existing molding edge adjacent to the window shall be wrapped in Alcoa white flashing as described in item #3 above. 5. Caulking shall be applied around the perimeter of the newly installed Azek window trim and the vinyl siding to create a water tight seal.
