Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (District) invites engineering consulting firms who have experience with biosolids digester upgrades and building modifications to submit sealed proposals for engineering services for the Digester Mixing Phase 2 and Building Modifications project. This contract will provide engineering services to increase the capacity of the digester system, including replacement of mixers in two large digesters and conversion of one storage digester to active digestion. Other digester improvements will include replacement of feed valves and withdrawal pumps for the storage tanks and some of the active digesters. Storage tank improvements will also be investigated, including measures to reduce stratification and improve withdrawal of the stored biosolids.
