Specifications include, but are not limited to: The proposed program or activities should focus on providing direct services for ORR-eligible Ukrainian populations to promote health and/or mental wellness. Programming or services can support health education and empowerment, overall wellness and sense of connection, and/or mental health and resilience. Community-informed programming and cultural bridging is encouraged. General program activities and services must fall within one of the below categories: 1) Health/mental health literacy and education classes – in group setting or at focused, individual level - Health education programming to help empower refugees to make informed decisions about their health and access needed services and care. Subrecipient should have a strategy for identifying and providing appropriate health information and topics of focus. Subrecipient should also have an evaluation strategy in place to measure overall impact of programming and inform any needed adjustments for improved participant experience. Examples include, but are not limited to: - Health literacy 101 course - Nutrition classes - Hiring a community worker or cultural liaison to bridge connection to services and programming. - Diabetes prevention and management classes; 2) Physical and/or mental wellness group activities - Group wellness activities that aim to build sense of community and connection to address social isolation and/or provide group learning opportunities that promote health or mental well-being. Subrecipient should have a strategy for choosing the wellness group activities and topics that would be most helpful to the community. Subrecipient should also have an evaluation strategy in place to measure overall impact of programming and inform any needed adjustments for improved participant experience. Evidence-based programming should be used when possible. Examples include, but are not limited to: - Outdoor wellness programs - Affinity groups and/or peer support groups - Expressive art programming - Stress management and coping skills groups - Hiring a community worker or cultural liaison to bridge connection to services and programming.
