Specifications include, but are not limited to: Northwood Technical College (Northwood Tech) is accepting sealed bids to be used in the Automated Packaging Program for one (1) fully operational new or used servo driven tray former for locking style (glueless) trays OR one (1) fully operational new or used pneumatically driven tray former for locking style (glueless) trays or Northwood Technical College approved alternate. Alternate or “equivalent” items, if offered, must be identified as alternates. Proposers may include an alternate product pricing schedule or page in addition to the pricing offered for the list of products requested. The alternate pricing may be considered in the award but will be used for ordering if it is determined that the alternate product will meet the needs and existing equipment. • Operates on 480-VAC or 240-VAC • Footprint is no greater than 10-feet long by 6-feet wide by 8-feet tall • Runs on 80 PSI or less • Pneumatically and/or servo driven movements • Controlled by Allen Bradley programmable logic controller • Accepts trays 4-inches x 3-inches x 1-inches to 10-inches x 6-inches x 2.5-inches • Speed is at least 15 cycles per minute • Vacuum is generated through an air injector • Includes at least 5,000 trays of the manufacturer’s demonstration size • Includes all costs related to freight, installation, setup, and equipment training • Adheres to the American National Safety Institution guidelines (ANSI B.155.2007) for case and safety of packaging machinery • Adheres to highest Federal, State, and Local regulations
