Specifications include, but are not limited to: Migrate the Commonwealth’s production and Disaster Recovery mainframe virtual tape system using a Luminex MVTe-2C212 virtual tape system to a Luminex SW30 Version 3.0 system: Hardware will be provided; Software licensing is in place; Production mainframe is in Chelsea, Massachusetts using 60TB of virtual tape Storage; The Disaster Recovery mainframe is in Springfield, Massachusetts using 60TB of virtual Storage; Services are expected to be performed on-site and remotely as approved by EOTSS’ Project Manager; Luminex configuration must be performed by Luminex or a Luminex Certified Engineer (proof of certification must be submitted with bid response); Bidders must certify that services will comply with manufacturer requirements and will not invalidate existing warranty or support.; CORI background checks will be needed to be done on anyone having access to the Luminex System.; Vendor shall perform all related installation, configuration, migration, project management, and related project serviced.; All services must be completed no later than January 31, 2024.; Preference will be given to Bidders capable of completing services earlier.; Description of Services: INSTALLATION Pre-installation and Planning Review channel connectivity, device types and device sharing by CPU and LPAR; Review and schedule IODF changes; Review of tape volume ranges and sharing by LPARs; Provide and review LSCRUP utility (scratch update); Review device allocation technique, ie, esoteric, SMS, TMACS; Review EOTSS’ Network connectivity for Channel Gateway management port, ILO and replication; Gather EOTSS’ IPs for NTP, DNS, and Alerts.; Discuss data migration plan (if applicable); Review rack, power requirements; Create Schedule of Events/Timeline.; Create post-installation checklist.
