Specifications include, but are not limited to: IaaS: The State is seeking qualified vendors to supply, deploy, network, install, implement, and manage the hardware, software and all peripherals proposed for the replacement of the existing hyperconverged infrastructure to the new IaaS solution located at Tech Vault, 21 Gregory Dr, South Burlington VT. Up to 2 full 42U racks are available for IaaS installation. Each rack can support 11kw, 3 phase PDU provides 240V @ 20a at each receptacle. All equipment must utilize redundant power supplies which will be fed via separate rack power feeds. After contract award, the vendor will have an opportunity to run Live Optics or other approved analysis tools to gather information to correctly size the clusters and migrate configurations, settings, etc. The vendor is expected to install & configure hardware and any software required or detailed in this RFP including the hypervisor and its associated management/monitoring software. vSphere will require migration of existing setup to the new clusters. Aria Network Ops installation can be considered greenfield. Aria Operations installation will require existing configurations to be migrated from the current implementation. Vendor will upgrade firmware, hypervisor and other software to current versions within a reasonable time with consultation with SoV. That expense to be included in the ongoing operating expense. Extra cost to perform upgrades must not result in one-time payments. Migration of existing VM workloads from the old environment to the new is required and should include zero downtime utilizing VMWare cluster vMotion or other similar technology. The State Cloud Computing Division operates in a manner that would be considered a Managed Service Provider. The Cloud Services Department provides infrastructure to most Executive Branch Agencies and bills them for their use. Vendor must provide a way for the State to determine that breakdown for each Agency’s portion of the overall bill, and in some cases, sub-agency detail. Appendix A details the SLA requirements for the IaaS environment. The same SLAs apply to the entire environment, regardless of use. (Production, Management, Dev, test, etc.) Appendix B details the SLA requirements for any SaaS product proposed. For example, SaaS based infrastructure management. In the Bidder Response Form, section 4.5 Data Compliance, the IaaS solution will be hosting data for each of the selected types listed, and it is the responsibility of the vendor to maintain underlying infrastructure in a manner that meets the applicable compliance requirements. The vendor is responsible for the IaaS networking up to the connections with our core routers. Backup of virtual machines & customer data residing on the VMWare infrastructure is not in scope. Disaster Recovery environments for IaaS are not in scope. Maintenance and operations of infrastructure being replaced is not in scope. Continuous application monitoring of SoV applications by the vendor is not in scope. As detailed elsewhere, the vendor is responsible for provisioning the VMWare monitoring solution for SoV use (Aria Operations)
