Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.Key Components a) Contractor shall, as requested, provide VPB with general counsel legal services, and shall appear on behalf of VPB in any related appeals or other proceedings where appearance on behalf of the Board is authorized, provide training curriculum/ implementation as necessary. b) Without limitation and as requested, Contractor shall provide all legal services related to representation of VPB, who shall direct the litigation work of Contractor. c) VPB shall have sole approval and rejection authority over substantive filings, settlements, and related matters. d) Contractor shall report to the Parole Board Director. 2.Services a) The Contractor shall represent VPB in all matters, including general counsel and appellate work. b) The Contractor shall provide training to the VPB in matters pertaining to their jurisdiction and subject matter. c) The Contractor will be responsible for all pre-trial and trial work including, but not limited to attending all depositions, preparing all required legal documents, negotiating any settlements, and representation of the State at all required hearings authorized by statute.
