Specifications include, but are not limited to: DOCR requires a pre-employment assessment that is high quality, cloud-based and constantly updating, and applicable for law enforcement and corrections. To be applicable for corrections purposes, the assessment must include categories such as bribery/fraud, financial stability, harassment and bullying, honesty, illegal drug and alcohol usage, loyalty, confidentiality, theft, workplace violence, gang affiliation, abuse of authority, risk of excessive force, and inappropriate relationships. DOCR reviewed six vendors in total and the only one that meets all criteria and allows us to access a cloud-based service and send unlimited assessments to candidates via email is Verensics. An intelligent pre-employment assessment is critical to ensuring the DOCR is hiring the right candidates. The Verensics assessment is appropriate for law enforcement and corrections and even has a specialized community supervision assessment.
